Deputy Lay Clerks
Bath Abbey Choir is looking for deputy Lay Clerks. The Abbey has 12 Lay Clerks who sing the alto, tenor and bass part in the Abbey choirs and support our boys and girls choristers who sing the treble part. Singers need to have some experience singing chorally, and be confident sight-readers.
In recent months there have been opportunities for our deputy Lay Clerks to accompany the choir on tour and take part in concerts, recording and broadcasts. Deputy Lay Clerks get the opportunity to be associated with the Abbey’s excellent music making in this building, with its fine acoustics and world famous Klais organ.
Bath Abbey takes safeguarding seriously therefore as part of our Safer Recruitment process applicants will be subject to an enhanced DBS Clearance check and the relevant Safeguarding training.
