La Nuova Musica is firmly established as one of the most distinctive voices in the early music field. Under the direction of founder and artistic director, David Bates, LNM strives to reveal new aspects of familiar repertoire, through dynamic performances of music from the Baroque and Classical periods, appearing at major festivals and in concert halls across Europe. For Bath Mozartfest LNM present that mighty and most moving of choral masterpieces, Mozart’s Mass in C minor, known as the Great. The two soprano soloists will both be making their Bath debuts: Elinor Rolfe Johnson and the Swiss soprano Chiara Skerath. Bath Camerata, the fine award-winning choir acclaimed for its versatility and virtuosity, will join LNM for what promises to be a stand-out performance.
